As part of its plan to support growth initiatives and more closely service key customers in Arizona and the western United States, Times Microwave Systems (TMS) has expanded its Mesa manufacturing facility located at Metro East Valley Commerce Park, 716 E. Auto Center Drive. The new facility is more than five times larger in size. TMS is one of several Amphenol businesses planned to be located within this industrial park. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held today by city, state and company leaders.

Bill Callahan, General Manager for Times Microwave Systems, said about the move, “We are excited to be expanding our manufacturing capabilities in Mesa and the greater Phoenix area. This creates a manufacturing center of excellence in the western US that complements our Connecticut and Florida facilities – allowing us to more effectively service our customers coast to coast. This investment delivers increased capacity, additional capabilities and provides a risk mitigation measure to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing of our products.”

“Watching businesses thrive in Mesa is a great testament to the quality companies that choose to locate here and the City’s commitment to maintaining a business-friendly environment,” Mayor John Giles said. “Congratulations to Times Microwave Systems on their new expansion and continued leadership in Arizona’s manufacturing industry.”

Since Times Microwave began Mesa operations in 2015, it has grown from two employees to more than 80. With the move to its new facility, the company expects growth to continue.

“It has been great to watch Times Microwave flourish in Mesa over the last several years,” District 3 Councilmember Francisco Heredia said. “This expansion is a tremendous representation of their growth and I am thrilled that the City of Mesa and District 3 will figure so prominently into their future. They are an important part of our business community and I am happy that they call this area home.”

TMS designs and manufactures high performance coaxial cables, connectors and cable assemblies for military, aerospace, telecommunications, industrial RF applications.

TMS partnered with Mesa, Arizona Commerce Authority and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council to help with its expansion in the City.

“We congratulate Times Microwave Systems on its growth and this impressive new facility,” Sandra Watson, President & CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, said. “Manufacturing jobs are vital to Arizona’s economy, and we thank Times Microwave Systems for continuing to invest in our state.”
