Union Park at Norterra, north Phoenix’s newest planned community at the northwest corner of 19th Avenue and Happy Valley Road, is under construction with its 5,800-square-foot community recreation center and is preparing land for homebuilder lots.

Master developer, Sunbelt Holdings of Scottsdale, and land owner USAA Real Estate, are jointly creating the 400-acre Union Park at Norterra. The mixed-use community will serve as the suburban heart of north Phoenix, adorned with canopy trees, lush green landscaping, diverse streetscapes, historic architecture and an expansive neighborhood recreation center.

The jewel of Union Park at Norterra will be The Post, the community’s resort-styled recreation center set against the Union Peak Sonoran Preserve backdrop. The community hub will feature a pool with cabanas, children’s play pool, community park, event lawns, playground, outdoor barbecue area, and basketball and pickleball courts. Reflecting the warmth and design of a historical farmhouse, The Post will feature an open floor plan with a great room, catering kitchen and event/conference room accented by timber columns, trusses, decorative steel, barn doors, outdoor shutters and a covered porch.

Union Park at Norterra is centrally located and within walking distance to a diverse range of shopping, dining and entertainment venues at The Shops and Norterra and USAA’s Phoenix Corporate Campus. Additionally, the community is within minutes of the I-17, Loop 303 and

Loop 101 freeways. The first phase of Union Park at Norterra is scheduled to grand open in late 2018.

A collection of three award-winning homebuilders will be joining Union Park at Norterra’s first phase, with a total of 309 single-family homes. Ashton Woods will offer four two-story floorplans ranging from 1,800 to 2,481 square feet; Cachet Homes will offer a selection of five one- and two-story floorplans ranging from 2,831 to 4,115 square feet; and David Weekley Homes will feature seven one- and two-story floorplans ranging from 2,332 to 3,864 square feet, all offering indoor/outdoor living spaces with a diverse range of architectural styles including Territorial, Sonoran Rustic, Southwest Modern, Mission Revival, Desert Craftsman and Wrightian.

The Union Park at Norterra plan is focused on creating a unique and intimate community to live, work and play that embraces the vibrance of downtown living mixed with a casual and charming culture. For more information, visit unionparkatnorterra.com.
