Vantage West Credit Union is building on its strength as southern Arizona’s largest credit union by expanding its presence into the Phoenix area.

In early May, credit union officials signed a lease on a 4,000 sq. ft. property located at 1671 S Cooper Rd. (Ray Rd. & Cooper Rd.) in Gilbert, AZ. This new location is slated for a late Q4 2018 or early Q1 2019 opening. It will be the credit union’s third retail location in the Phoenix area. The new location is positioned in an area with a high concentration of existing members and also shows significant opportunity to expand services to consumer and business members. To further support the expansion, Vantage West is adding member access to 71 new ATMs in select Target and CVS stores primarily throughout the Valley of the Sun.

Vantage West president/CEO Robert D. Ramirez says the credit union’s 10 x ‘22 Expansion Strategy will aim to add two new locations every year for the next five years, for a total of 10 new Phoenix-area locations by 2022. He also noted that the strategy is designed to support efforts to establish a well-positioned network for enhancing member engagement and creating value for the entire membership.

The expansion delivers convenience and ease of access to the more than 40,000 existing members already in the Phoenix-area and offers the opportunity of a new Vantage West experience to others.

The move aligns with the credit union’s vision for strategic success through market growth and fulfills its mission to “Ignite collaborative relationships with members and the communities it serves, so all can thrive together.”
