Wildflower Bread Company is opening up its newest location late this summer at the Central Phoenix infill development project, Crown on 7th, early this summer near Seventh Street and Bethany Home Road.

Darren George, vice president of Development for Wildflower Bread Company, says they’ve long wanted to be a part of this neighborhood.

“A core tenet of our purpose is becoming part of and giving back to the communities where we operate. At Crown on 7th, we see an opportunity to provide healthy and heightened comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a family-friendly atmosphere at an affordable price point while also employing people from the neighborhood,” George says.

George says this will be Wildflower’s most urban valley location so far and they are excited to build a store that fits the design of the project.

“We have a lot of exciting ideas for the space. We hope to embrace our wonderful Phoenix weather by having two distinct patio areas. Also, to play into Phoenix’s evolution as a food town, this Wildflower will be introducing a completely new kitchen design that will enable our patrons to see the creation of our delectable dishes in action.”

Slated to open late summer or early fall, Wildflower Bread Company is the newest eatery to join this popular dining district that’s already home to Okra Cookhouse and Cocktails and Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen.

Niels Kreipke, owner of Desert Viking Development and partner in the project, is excited that Crown on 7th will offer the community a destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“We felt the neighborhood needed a healthy, quality and quick dining alternative with three meals a day including a spot to grab a coffee or a nice breakfast place to enjoy in the mornings.” Kreipke continues, “They have a proven track record and an array of experience that elevates the mix of exciting restaurants already existing along 7th Street from Missouri up to Bethany Home.”

Owner of DWG Phoenix LLC and co-partner in the project, Buzz Gosnell, says Wildflower adds the perfect mix to the Crown on 7th.

“We were seeking a restaurant concept that complements the existing tenants rather than competes. Simultaneously, Wildflower addresses the needs of the other tenants and their employees. It’s a win-win.”
