The unaudited numbers are in and the Arizona Lottery announced its biggest win ever for the State of Arizona: a second consecutive record-breaking fiscal year, with combined sales from instant-win and draw games totaling more than $1.09 billion!

Looking at unaudited preliminary transfer data, more than $220 million of that will benefit more than a dozen vital programs and services including:

• $21.9 million to Healthy Arizona, through the Arizona Department of Health Services, to provide vital assistance to low-income Arizona families so they can eat well and remain healthy.

• $3.5 million to the Arizona Competes Fund, through the Arizona Commerce Authority, to foster economic growth across the state, and to attract new business while helping current companies to thrive here.

• $1 million to the Human Services Campus, through the Arizona Department of Economic Security, to combat homelessness and mitigate COVID-19’s dangers to this especially vulnerable population.

“The Arizona Lottery, and our entire network of valued retailers, are proud to help provide the resources needed by everyone on the frontlines battling this pandemic to keep us all healthy, and to assist businesses across Arizona weather this economic storm and even grow during these troubled times,” Arizona Lottery Executive Director Gregg Edgar said. “Arizona Lottery ticket sales are directly responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars every year to fund these programs that are providing critical services to our most at-risk citizens and helping to grow our economy.”

Additionally, Lottery sales generated more than $74.5 million in retailer commissions across the state and paid out more than $1 billion in prizes, including June’s $414 million ($319.9 million pre-tax cash option) Mega Millions jackpot, helping to drive our economy and bolster retailer revenues as they struggle through these challenging economic times.

The complete lineup of instant and draw games is available at all 3,000 Arizona Lottery licensed retailers.  Learn more about the Arizona Lottery at www.ArizonaLottery.com.
