My grandmother was born at 4th Avenue and Washington, when Arizona was still a Territory! I am a proud 3rd generation native of AZ and still live in the same neighborhood as my grandfather’s dairy in Scottsdale. Both my grandfather and father owned construction companies, and helped to build military bases around the state, as well as well known, and historical buildings in Phoenix. That may explain my love to buildings and architecture.
I not only have been in the meeting, festival, and events and PR/marketing, industry since my first, “real job” at Scottsdale Parks and Recreation before I was old enough to drink, own an events and sponsorship consulting business for years, I have also been Adjunct Faculty at Scottsdale Community, teaching Event Management.
A graduate of Arizona State University and an alumnus of Scottsdale Leadership’s Class XVIII. I am deeply rooted, and love where I live. This makes my skill of connections and partnerships, very easy.
I am also on the board for the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, and formerly on the Wallace and Ladmo Foundation board. (If you know, you know!)
My side hustle and passions are singing and performing. You can find my duo performing around town and statewide, or one of my full bands, Any Given Moment, playing corporate events and parties, and my blues band, Jacque D and the Rattlesnake Blues Band at The Rhythm Room, blues venues, and up in Prescott!
You will find my other loves on my social media posts. They are the things I happily chase the most!
My two fur babies, Tessi, (short for Tessitura, Italian meaning “texture”, and a musical term defined as “the most acceptable and comfortable vocal range for a given singer”), and Diablo (I didn’t name him. I often get asked if he’s a lamb when out and about or hiking. He does looks like a lamb, and yes, sometimes lives up to his name!), typically hold the spotlight there.
Besides my dogs, you will find that I chase music! Concerts, cruises, festivals, local jams, and venues all over town.
