Korey Wilkes
Korey Wilkes brings over 31 years of industry experience to his leadership role at Butler Design Group, where he oversees company operations, client relations, and project execution. Since joining BDG in 1999, Korey has become a trusted leader in commercial real estate development, guiding projects from concept through completion with a detailed, hands-on approach. He has managed more than 200 projects totaling over 30 million square feet and $2.2 billion in value, including landmark developments such as Rivulon, SkySong, PV 303, Woolf Logistics, Halo Vista, and Rio 2100. His expertise spans large-scale industrial, office, retail, and medical office projects, and he has also been instrumental in delivering over a dozen LEED-certified buildings.
Korey’s professional path was anything but typical. Before architecture, in the early 1990’s he served four years in the U.S. Army as an Arabic Linguist, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he worked as a journeyman custom wood floor installer while attending college and starting with his family, later transitioning into construction and design-build Architecture before coming to BDG. He became a registered architect in 2009 and went on to become one of BDG’s first Associates and the firm’s first new Principal. His leadership has driven BDG’s geographic expansion into Salt Lake City and beyond, as well as to the integration of interior architecture services.
