JLL names head of Arizona, Nevada PDS Group

JLL has announced the appointment of Alexis Lowell as Project and Development Services (PDS) market lead for Arizona and Nevada. With more than a decade of experience, she now serves some of the nation’s most active markets for new construction and tenant relocations and expansions.

In her new role, Lowell will oversee a team of JLL experts delivering workplace strategy, project management, design and construction management, move management and related services for clients across the commercial real estate spectrum.

While expanding opportunities in the Arizona and Nevada markets – which are experiencing some of the region’s highest construction spend and employment growth – Lowell will also continue in her leadership role as the West Region’s Workplace Practice Lead. Through this work, Lowell has redefined workplace strategies and leveraged culture to unlock the full potential of spaces.

Trisha Farrow joins Frazer Ryan Goldberg & Arnold

Frazer Ryan Goldberg & Arnold, LLP, a leading Arizona-based law firm, announced that former Internal Revenue Service (IRS) senior trial attorney Trisha Farrow joins the tax controversy practice. The Firm’s tax controversy group consists of former IRS attorneys, revenue agents, and a former Arizona Department of Revenue attorney. They represent taxpayers in defense of taxing authorities and provide strategic tax advice.

During Farrow’s eight-year tenure at the IRS, she litigated cases involving captive insurance, research and development credits, tax promoter penalties, cannabis businesses, and fraud. She earned her law degree at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude, and Farrow earned her bachelor’s degree at Columbia (Missouri) College, where she played intercollegiate softball.

REDW Principal Christina C. Roderick earns appointment

REDW Advisors and CPAs, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest advisory and CPA firms,  also recognized as #112 on INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 200 Accounting Firms in 2023, announced that Christina C. Roderick CPA, MST, CGMA, who leads REDW’s Tax Advisory practice as a Principal in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been appointed by Gov. Katie Hobbs to the Arizona State Board of Accountancy after serving 13 years on its Tax Practice Committee, where she acted as both Vice-Chair and Chair.

The primary duty of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy is to protect the public from unlawful, incompetent, unqualified or unprofessional certified public accountants through certification, regulation and rehabilitation. The organization also serves CPAs and CPA firms and applicants to the profession by providing complete information and prompt processing of Uniform CPA Examination applications, CPA Certification applications, and the registration of CPAs and CPA firms.

“It has been a pleasure working with Christina in her role with the Board’s Tax Advisory Committee over the last 13 years. She is dependable, engaged, and well respected by her peers. The Board has already benefited from her knowledge, leadership, and experience as she has seamlessly transitioned into her new role as a member of the Board,” said Monica L. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in Arizona, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Roderick is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA).
