Stream Realty hires top office leasing team In Phoenix

Stream Realty Partners has recruited a seasoned four-broker office leasing team with nearly eight decades of combined commercial real estate experience to build a best-in-class operation in Phoenix.

Managing Directors John Bonnell and Brett Abramson, Senior Vice President Chris Latvaaho and Vice President Chris Beall join Stream Realty, a national commercial real estate firm offering an integrated platform of services. They will work alongside Executive Managing Director and Partner Tiffany Winne to expand the firm’s investor services platform in the region while amplifying the brand’s presence in the Phoenix market. Winne expects rapid growth of the platform with the addition of Bonnell, Abramson, Latvaaho, and Beall.

The new team, who previously worked at JLL, will be responsible for sourcing, winning, and executing office business across all service lines, concentrating on office agency leasing.

Stream Phoenix opened in September 2021 and has strategically grown to more than 20 professionals who lease and manage a portfolio of more than 9 million square feet of office and industrial space.

John Bonnell

Bonnell brings to Stream Realty more than 30 years of experience in agency leasing in the Arizona market. He last served as a Managing Director at JLL, where he spent more than 13 years representing institutional and entrepreneurial landlords of existing and ground-up office developments. He has completed more than 3,500 leases worth in excess of $2.2 billion throughout his career.

Prior to joining JLL, Bonnell was a Senior Vice President at Grubb & Ellis. He has also worked for Insignia/ESG, Cassidy Turley, and Trammell Crow. He is a former board member and current member of NAIOP. 

Brett Abramson

Abramson has over 18 years of experience in the Phoenix commercial real estate market. He joined JLL in February 2010 and ascended to Executive Vice President during his tenure. He specializes in leasing Class A office buildings for institutional and entrepreneurial landlords of existing and ground-up office developments. Prior to JLL, Abramson was a Senior Associate at Grubb & Ellis. He is a member of NAIOP.

Chris Latvaaho

Latvaaho has worked in the Phoenix commercial real estate market since 2000, where he spent the last nine years specializing in office agency leasing as a Senior Vice President at JLL. Before JLL, Latvaaho was a Director in the Office Properties Division at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was involved in more than 1,500 lease and sale transactions totaling more than 3 million square feet. He has also worked for Scottsdale Property Management, leasing more than 2.2 million square feet of investment properties concentrated in the Phoenix metro office market.

Latvaaho began his commercial real estate career at Heitman Properties Ltd. in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. He is a member of NAIOP.

Chris Beall

Beall brings nearly eight years of commercial real estate experience to Stream Realty. Prior to joining Stream Phoenix, he was a Senior Associate at JLL for nearly six years, where he completed over 150 lease transactions. He also worked at CBRE as an Associate Business Analyst supporting the Net Lease Property Group in Phoenix.

Chris is an active member of NAIOP, serving on the Steering Committee for the Developing Leaders and as the Co-Chair for the Young Professionals Group.

Free Arts announces promotions

Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona announced Catherine Brennan and Justin Stewart have been promoted.

“Both Catherine and Justin have been valuable members of our team,” said Alicia Sutton Campbell, executive director of Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona. “They are passionate about our mission and committed to serving foster care, abused and neglected children. They each bring a unique skillset to the table and have fostered new relationships and ideas to help us grow.”

Catherine Brennan joined the nonprofit in 2018 as Finance Manager. She has been promoted to Director of Operations. In this role, she will oversee Facilities, Human Resources, Finance and Information Technology.

Prior to joining Free Arts, Catherine worked in the corporate finance and operations sectors for over 10 years. Throughout this time, Catherine has held positions in financial services and non-profit organizations, as well as starting her own business.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University. Catherine is passionate about turning ideas into actions through connecting with Free Arts staff and external partners. Catherine previously served on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee at Temple Emanuel of Tempe and volunteered as a tax preparer with the City of Phoenix VITA program.

Justin joined Free Arts in 2019 as Marketing Manager. He has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Development and his new responsibilities include overseeing the strategic direction and successful implementation of the development and marketing plan, inspiring the development and marketing team to success in fundraising and marketing activities, and working directly on behalf of the Vice President of Philanthropy and the Executive Director in meeting established marketing, fundraising, and budget goals.  Justin’s previous experience includes 15 years of marketing and public relations for non-profit, commercial, and art sectors. He has been deeply involved in promoting and cultivating local art and opportunities for local artists through various events, performances, and connections to related organizations.

Comerica Bank names Christina Mercado-González Arizona external affairs manager

Comerica Bank has named Christina Mercado-González the Vice President, External Affairs Market Manager for Arizona.

Gonzalez will support Comerica Bank’s community commitment and engagements as she stewards community reinvestments in the market. This will focus on small business, economic and workforce development, affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization, and financial literacy programs benefiting low- to moderate-income individuals and communities.

“Christina has a proven track record developing and executing multicultural programming at many different levels,” said Brandon Q. Jones, Comerica Bank Senior Vice President, Director of External Affairs. “She is uniquely qualified for this position and will make an immediate, and meaningful impact on our community and business partners in the area.”

Gonzalez has more than 20 years of experience as a results-oriented multicultural marketing and advertising professional, specializing in the U.S. Hispanic market. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. While there, she worked to advance the chamber’s mission to promote the success of Hispanic and minority small businesses in the state.

As an Arizona native, Gonzalez is actively involved in the local community and has served in leadership positions for a variety of organizations. She currently serves on the Arizona Diamondbacks Los D-Backs Ambassador Council and is a Board Member for Global Ties Arizona.

Dibble announces promotions to key leadership positions 

Dibble announced promotions for Vice Presidents Ezra Page, PE, and Paul Balch, PE, to Arizona Group Leaders within the company. These promotions align with Dibble’s commitment to nurturing talent from within and recognizing the exemplary contributions of team members. As vice presidents, Ezra and Paul have shown leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence.

They are responsible for technically coaching and developing team leaders and staff in project management and technical proficiency, working towards achieving quality pursuits, designs, and deliverables across multiple teams.

Ezra Page, PE, will serve as Arizona Group Leader of Pipeline Utilities, overseeing all of Dibble’s water, wastewater, and infrastructure rehabilitation projects and staff in Arizona. With a comprehensive career spanning 24 years, he has successfully managed more than 300 utility (water, wastewater, and infrastructure rehabilitation) projects throughout Arizona. His thoughtful problem-solving approach and technical acumen have contributed significantly to successfully delivering numerous complex projects.

Dibble President Kevin Roberts, PE, said, “Ezra has been contributing to the success of our utilities market for more than 24 years. He is widely respected across the industry for his comprehensive understanding of water and wastewater systems, his design expertise, and his knowledge of the construction of these facilities. Paul Balch, PE, has been promoted to Arizona Group Leader for Dibble’s Transportation Team. In his new role, Paul will oversee all of Dibble’s transportation projects in the state. With 25 years of transportation experience, Paul brings extensive knowledge in the design and management of more than 40 miles of arterial projects. His expertise spans rural and urban roadway design, grade-separated interchanges, urban intersections, city street improvements, roundabouts, and corridor and alignment studies. Paul brings a collaborative, proactive management style to every project, ensuring seamless project execution and consistent follow-through on critical issues. His collaborative and proactive management approach fosters consensus among project stakeholders.
