As the Birdies for Charity corporate sponsor, Bell Bank donated $25,000 in total to 4 qualifying nonprofits, based on the number of birdies made by PGA TOUR golfers during the tournament.
The donation, plus a generous match provided by Thunderbirds Charities, helped raise additional funds to benefit these charities and support local Arizona communities.
Bell Bank’s selected Birdies for Charity non-profits included:
- Make-a-Wish Arizona – life-changing wishes for kids with critical illnesses
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central & Northern Arizona – a home away from home for families of sick children
- New Pathways for Youth – transforming the lives of youth through mentoring
- St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix – compassionate help and crucial services for people in need
“We are very proud to partner with the Thunderbirds to support this meaningful charitable program. The Birdies for Charity efforts exemplify the powerful intersection of sports, individuals, corporations and our collective social responsibility. This program highlights how we, as a family-owned bank, can serve as a force for good in all aspects of what we do, promoting a spirit of philanthropy and community involvement and making a lasting difference in the lives of those in need,” said Reine Hamilton, SVP commercial banking manager for Bell Bank in Arizona.
