Abrazo Community Health Network earned top company fundraiser accolades for the 25th annual Phoenix Heart Walk, raising $81,596 in donations and pledges for the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Abrazo was represented by 52 teams totaling 516 participants. Additionally, Abrazo provided heart health education and free blood pressure checks during the event presented by the American Heart Association. 

“Heart disease and stroke are the number one and number five causes of death in the United States. Abrazo employees’ participation in the Heart Walk helps fund important research for treating cardiovascular disease,” said Jeff Patterson, CEO of Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital and Abrazo Arrowhead Campus. “It’s incredible to see their dedication to a healthier community.”

Abrazo Community Health Network was Cause Sponsor for the 25th annual Phoenix Heart Walk, which included a three-mile non-competitive walk and numerous health-related displays.

More than 20,000 attended the April 7 event which raised over $1.6 million, according to the American Heart Association – Phoenix.
