Shea Homes, its Trilogy communities and St. Vincent de Paul are joining forces to bring awareness to the dire need for non-perishable donations throughout the summer months. Food banks across the country receive about half of their total food donations during the holiday season, leaving supplies scarce throughout the remainder of the year.

Between Monday, June 6 and Sunday, July 3, Shea Homes is inviting Valley residents to donate non-perishable food items by dropping them off at any one of the participating Shea or Trilogy communities around the Valley. These donations will help to provide more than 8 million meals through food boxes that St. Vincent de Paul distributes to Arizona families in need throughout the year.

Shea Homes will make a matching contribution to St. Vincent de Paul to support further meals and the 15 programs focused on clothing, housing, healing and feeding that St. Vincent de Paul spearheads throughout Central and Northern Arizona, donating $1 per pound of food donated to the organization, up to five pounds per person.

Additionally, Shea wants to celebrate with all community members who go the extra mile to donate. Residents and visitors to all communities are invited to take a photo while dropping off their donations to post on Twitter or Instagram using #DonateWithShea, and Shea will donate $5 for each photo submission.
