Washington Federal, a full-service national banking institution with 31 branches across Arizona, has donated $500 to UMOM New Day Centers, $500 to the YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix and $1,500 to Save the Family Foundation through its foundation corporate giving program.
“These donations will be able to aid the organizations in fulfilling their missions,” said Lisa Davey, vice president and northeast Arizona retail division manager of Washington Federal. “For UMOM and Save the Family, our donation will be used toward offering transitional housing to homeless families in Arizona. And for YWCA, our donation will be put towards programs that will help to eliminate racism, empower women and more. At Washington Federal, we believe it is so important to give back to those people who use your services, and are always proud to be able to donate through the Washington Federal Foundation.”
UMOM New Day Centers, which is the largest family shelter in Arizona, and Save the Family Foundation work to prevent and end homelessness by helping individuals and families alike to achieve life-long independence. The YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix’s mission is to educate, empower and advocate for long-term systemic change to eliminate discrimination and promote equality.
