Fennemore Craig announces new firm president
Fennemore Craig, a leading Mountain West business law firm, announces the election of James Goodnow, a shareholder and director in the firm’s Phoenix office, as the president of the firm and chair of its management committee, effective April 1, 2018. Goodnow will succeed Steve Good, who will resume the full-time practice of law at the firm, specializing in the areas of tax, business transactions and estate planning.
In his new role, Goodnow will lead the implementation of the firm’s strategic goals and initiatives in its six offices, located in Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Nogales, Reno and Tucson. “I’m excited to work with my talented colleagues at building on the firm’s 133-year-old foundation of providing exceptional service to our clients and helping to position the firm for continued success,” said Goodnow.

JDA Software appoints new CIO
JDA Software, a global company which is headquartered in Scottsdale, has appointed a new chief information officer.
Dorien Weijts has been appointed senior vice president and CIO.
In this new role, she will oversee all of JDA’s global information technology systems and operational processes.
Dorien has been with JDA since September 2005, with roles as manager, director, senior director and eventually VP of IT Applications.
She resides in Phoenix, and earned her MBA in International Business from Western International University in Arizona.
Daum Phoenix adds Sica as associate
DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services continues to grow its Arizona brokerage team with the recent addition of Sebastian Sica.
Sica will serve as an associate, working alongside executive vice president/branch manager Kirk Jenkins, specializing in industrial properties in Central and Southwest Phoenix.
Prior to DAUM, Sica worked in Austin, Texas serving as account executive for SHI International, the second largest technology reseller of software, hardware and services in the United States. There, he was responsible for cultivating business accounts through prospecting, telemarketing and referral partnerships.

Sica earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Arizona State University. He is a member of Association of Institutional Research. Sica is a resident of Phoenix.
SWCA Environmental Consultants appoints CEO
SWCA Environmental Consultants has named Joseph J. Fluder III its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding John Thomas, who is retiring this month.
Fluder joined SWCA in 2003 as a water resources and GIS specialist in the company’s Albuquerque office. Since that time, he’s held a variety of technical and leadership positions, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the past four years. As COO, he was responsible for operational profit and loss, quality control, sales, client and business development, staff development, and overall financial performance.
“Joseph has progressed through increasingly complex management positions here at SWCA and has done a fantastic job leading our operations as COO,” said outgoing CEO John Thomas. “I am confident that under Joseph’s leadership, the company is in a stronger position than ever before, and poised to continue to grow and evolve in the future.”
