We hear people tell us to be “green” and shop “green;” however, no one tells us were to get our products to eat green. I am not talking about eating your green beans; I am talking about purchasing things that are locally grown and harvested.

In Arizona there are farms, stands and local orchards that grow organic food. Depending on the season and what you are looking for you can support local farmers and keep your family eating healthy and hearty.

No matter where you live there are places to go in your area to support your urge to be an organic “green” shopper. Local grocery stores provide organic produce, but it is not always from local farmers creating a cost of oil and fuels that affect the price of local gas and grocery prices. By attempting to support local businesses and doing what is better for the health of your family and local economy you are doubling your purchasing power.
