CORE Institute Opens New Clinic in Southwest Valley
To support its growth and expand their orthopedic practice in the Southwest Valley, The CORE Institute announced it opened a new clinic next to the Banner Estrella Medical Center in West Phoenix on January 8, 2014. The new West Phoenix clinic is on the Southwest corner of North 93rd Avenue and West of Thomas Road at 9305 W. Thomas Road in Suite 305.
“The CORE Institute is excited to expand back into the Southwest valley to better serve our patients’ needs,” said Dr. John Brown, Arizona Market President of The CORE Institute. “In support of our partnership with Banner Health, we are expanding our clinic services on the campus of Banner Estrella Medical Center, allowing patients to receive a continuum of care providing best-in-class patient care and promoting optimal outcomes for our patients.”
Drs. Robert Cercek, Ryan Scott and Mark Kayanja, along with Physician Assistants, will practice at the new West Phoenix clinic.
Robert M. Cercek, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in primary and revision joint arthroplasty of the hip and knee. Dr. Cercek received his fellowship training at The CORE Institute with Dr. David Jacofsky.
Ryan T. Scott, DPM is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon, specializing in total ankle replacement, extensive reconstruction of the forefoot and hindfoot, sports medicine, circular frames, and trauma. He is also certified on INBONE and S.T.A.R. total ankle replacements. Dr. Scott completed his fellowship at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Ohio, where he received comprehensive orthopedic foot and ankle training.
Mark Kayanja, MD, PhD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive surgery, deformity correction and cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery. Dr. Kayanja completed an orthopedic spine fellowship, two residency programs, and a research fellowship program where he was appointed the Director of the Spine Biomechanics Laboratory at the Cleveland Clinic.
