Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Watertree Health, a leading provider of free prescription discount cards, has announced that the formation of a partnership program that will not only benefit patients but also Phoenix Children’s. Each time someone saves money with the Prescription Discount Card benefiting Phoenix Children’s, Watertree Health makes a donation to the hospital.
“Phoenix Children’s is excited about this opportunity to welcome Watertree Health as a valuable partner – one that will really be able to make a difference in the lives of our patients,” said Steve Schnall, the Hospital’s Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “It’s a win-win, and we’re grateful for their support that will impact the level of care we’re able to provide.”
The free Prescription Discount Card, administered by Watertree Health, is accepted at over 60,000 participating pharmacies (including CVS, Walmart and Walgreens) and reduces the price of brand name and generic prescriptions by as much as 75 percent.
“We are excited to partner with Phoenix Children’s Hospital to help their patients save money on their prescriptions and help make a difference in a child’s tomorrow,” said Watertree Health President Shane Power. “It is our hope that this program will help address many of the critical, urgent needs of Phoenix Children’s.”
The card can be used by people with insurance—to fill in gaps of coverage—or by the uninsured. Pediatric, heart, thyroid, diabetes, asthma, migraine and other commonly prescribed medications may be discounted.
