eVisit, a telemedicine software company focused on transforming patient engagement and continuity of care, has added three new members to its rapidly growing team: Jacob Boddeker, Director of Product; Teresa Iafolla, Content Marketing Manager; and Brooke Watton, Director of Client Success.
Though eVisit is only a year old, it’s growing fast. The startup seeks to revolutionize healthcare delivery with HIPAA compliant telehealth software that allows healthcare providers to treat their patients remotely, through online video.
eVisit is an ambitious concept, so CEO Bret Larsen set very high standards when looking to expand the team.
“Attracting incredible team members who are passionate about changing the way healthcare is delivered in this country is no small feat,” Larsen said. “It’s rare to find a company at our stage that is able to bring together individuals with such a diverse and deep skill-set that Jacob, Teresa, and Brooke bring to the table. Great ideas are a dime a dozen, but the team and the culture is what wins.”
Boddeker, a graduate of the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University, began his career as the youngest applications engineer on his team at Honeywell, Int. His background and focus on product development and user experience has enabled him to continually excel in establishing a process and structure to bring products to market that are intuitive and have high usability. Solving complex user problems and a creating innovative experiences is the driving force behind all Boddeker does.
“There was no question in my mind that I wanted to work with the team at eVisit when presented with the opportunity,” Boddeker said. “More and more, it seems like I have no say in what goes on with my own healthcare. To be a part of of something that is revolutionizing the outdated healthcare delivery model and placing more power in the hands of the individual, is something I could not pass up.”
Iafolla, an English and Psychology honors graduate from The College of William and Mary, is an expert editor and content marketer, with a versatile background in the professional publishing industry. In her prior work as an associate editor and product development specialist, Iafolla collaborated with experts in the healthcare and education fields to develop
new content, training seminars, and pioneer the company’s first online learning course. She views eVisit as the next big challenge.
“[Joining eVisit] is a chance to work with a passionate close-knit team of smart, driven, and incredibly positive people, who are enacting much needed change in our healthcare system,” Iafolla said. “That’s a once in a life-time opportunity.“
Watton, a Boettcher Scholar at the University of Colorado and a JD/MBA honors graduate from the University of Nebraska, is a practicing attorney who brings an extensive background in building companies from the ground up through client success, business development and brand awareness. Her keen business sense and ability to drive growth through creative problem solving helps bring concepts to fruition. Known as a dedicated and affable leader, she empowers team members to build on their strengths and enjoy their commitment to excellence.
“In consulting with Bret during the early stages of his vision, I had the opportunity to see eVisit evolve from concept to reality. I witnessed his drive and passion and I wanted to be a part of what the eVisit Team was creating. The company brings a truly unique solution to a critical need in today’s world, which is something that the entire eVisit Team can collectively stand behind. I’m honored to be a part of eVisit,” Watton said.
In speaking to Larsen, it is clear that he is excited to have attracted such incredibly talented and passionate individuals.
“My co-founders and I feel honored to work alongside such talent as we execute on our vision to reduce the cost and broaden the availability of healthcare,” said Larsen “We have a long way to go at eVisit, but bringing these key players on board is a major milestone to be celebrated.”
