Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, PLC announced that Erik Stone has been named President-Elect of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Arizona.
Stone has been a member of the State Bar of Arizona, Young Lawyers Division since 2011 and has served on the Executive Board from 2011 to 2013 before being elected President.
Stone joined Jones, Skelton & Hochuli as an Associate in 2010, and concentrates his practice on Commercial and Business Litigation; General Civil Litigation and Insurance Defense; Construction Litigation; and Wrongful Death and Personal Injury. Mr. Stone received his law degree from Boston University School of Law in 2009, and is admitted to practice in Arizona and California. Prior to joining the firm, Stone served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Patricia A. Orozco, of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division I.
The YLD is a dynamic community and professional service organization of the State Bar of Arizona, specifically created for new lawyers who are under 37 years of age, or have been in practice for five years or less. Presently, the Division has approximately 4,000 active members in the state, which constitutes nearly 33% of the total in-state active Bar membership.
