Top Arizona executive: Danielle Puente, president

What it does: Commercial electric subcontractor

Workplace culture: DP Electric started its own National Center for Construction Education (NCCER) accredited apprenticeship program in 2019, to help meet the needs of their specific employees (class times, location, etc). The apprentices go through the four-year program and at the end, receive their Journeyman’s card which is recognized across the country. DP Electric is the only electrical contractor in the state of Arizona that offers an in-house apprenticeship program. The in-house apprenticeship program enables employees to come to class once a week, from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
