Admirable trait: In 2022, and for the fourth consecutive year, Valleywise Health was named an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization.

Community impact: Family Resource Centers (FRC) established by Valleywise in 2007, has expanded to eight locations today, providing a bridge between healthcare and the community, focusing on addressing social determinants of health and improving the well-being of families. The expansion of locations enabled their yearly backpack drive to nearly double in size and impact, with the FRCs handing out over 3,000 backpacks in 2022.
