Katie Pehrson, senior vice president, senior wealth strategist, PNC Bank
BACKGROUND: Katie Pehrson is a senior wealth strategist at PNC Private Bank. In her role, she works with clients to define their family, business and financial goals, and to develop a tailored wealth plan integrating their financial, estate, tax and philanthropic aspirations. Pehrson is a Board member for the Arizona Council on Economic Education.
CAREER PATH INSPIRATION: “I have always liked to learn new things and identify the most efficient solutions to problems. My current role at PNC Private Bank affords me the opportunity to build deeper relationships with clients as we collaborate for success using innovative planning strategies in an environment that is constantly changing.”
SOURCE OF PRIDE: “My most important professional accomplishment is not an award or credential, but that I am continually on an upward progression. I seek opportunities to develop myself personally and professionally so I can better serve my clients and community. I gauge my professional success on whether I have improved my job skills over the previous year.”
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION: “My first professional manager was one of the most impactful people in my life. She taught me how to advocate for my career while identifying mentors who could support my personal and professional goals. Because of her guidance, I am able to surround myself with people who support and guide my long-term career development.”
SURPRISING FACT: “I grew up near Moab, Utah riding jeeps through Canyonlands, so when a college roommate asked me to go off-roading one weekend, my immediate answer was yes. I may have answered differently if I had known that one deceptively deep pothole and cracked transmission later, we’d be leaping out of a burning jeep!”
