Today’s spotlight: Pam Stelzer, CPA

Audit manager

Henry+Horne

Stelzer is a manager with Henry+Horne, specializing in technology audits. She is on the board of directors at Valleywise Health Foundation and previously at Foundation for Blind Children. Stelzer has chaired fundraisers, guided blind climbers to the summit of Kilimanjaro and received the Cardinals Community Quarterback Award.

Lesson learned in 2020: “The business leaders who led with empathy during the pandemic were the most successful. We learned the critical importance of adaptability, compassion, creativity and gratitude with our employees and clients.”

Source of pride: “Mentoring. I love to be a part of the formal and informal mentoring processes. Helping empower staff to overcome obstacles, gain confidence, grow technically, earn promotions and ultimately excel is extremely rewarding.”

Surprising fact: “I swam Alcatraz to raise funds for a local charity. I’m passionate about community service and fitness. When I am able to combine them, it’s magical.”
