Background: Bame is the president of the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation and director of community development for Freeport-McMoRan. She has responsibility for leading the company’s social responsibility and compliance programs in the Americas (including the company’s operating portfolio in the U.S., Chile and Peru). She sets the strategic direction and provides oversight for the function, including stakeholder engagement, social investment, social risk management and other sustainable development initiatives. She regularly participates in national and international forums related to social development.
