The first phase of construction on Abrazo Health’s new medical campus in Buckeye is taking shape with steel framing going up for a new medical office building.

Medical offices, ambulatory services and an acute care hospital are planned for the 27-acre campus to provide healthcare closer to home for residents of one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S.
The first phase of development is a three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building. Tenants are slated to include cardiology, orthopedics, spine, primary care and urology physician practices, physical therapy and other offices.
A beam signing ceremony in March celebrated ‘going vertical’ on the first phase of development. Abrazo Health leaders, City of Buckeye and local business officials participated in the event.
“We are very excited that we will be able to provide healthcare for the community in Buckeye,” said Dr. Deepanshu Garg, chief of staff at Abrazo West Campus. “In addition to the physician offices Abrazo plans to provide other outpatient services and a future hospital, and we are very dedicated to this campus.”
Abrazo officials anticipate that the new medical campus at I-10 and Verrado Way will be a healthcare anchor for the area and a driver of economic activity.

Abrazo Health operates a freestanding ER at I-10 and Watson Road west of the new campus, and the Abrazo West Campus, a 216-bed Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center 10 miles east in Goodyear, in addition to other hospitals in the Valley.
