Cadence at Gateway, just off SR 24 at Ellsworth and Ray Roads in Mesa, gave a VIP preview of The Square and its amenities on Thursday. The event, hosted by developers Harvard Investments, gathered investors, partners, builders and the contractors who have been building Cadence, as well as elected officials, including guest speaker Mesa Mayor John Giles.

“It’s great to be part of the eastward shift in the Valley’s development and real estate focus,” Craig Krumwiede, president of Harvard Investments, shared at the event. “It’s Mesa’s time. It has abundant resources, talent and opportunities and is recognized locally and nationally as the place to live and work.”

He continued, “We’re heavily invested in Mesa because we believe in the Mesa vision—and we believe in building legacy communities. So, we committed to exceeding the expectations of the East Valley with Cadence at Gateway.”

Members of Scout Troop #501 were on hand to handle flag raising duties during the VIP sneak peek event at Cadence at Gateway on Thursday, Oct. 18 in Mesa. Joining them are, back row, left to right, Mesa Mayor John Giles, Craig Krumwiede, Tim Brislin and Chris Cacheris of Harvard Investments, and Mesa Councilmember Kevin Thompson. Cadence at Gateway is the newest masterplan community in the Valley and opens to the public on Saturday, October 20 at 10 a.m.

Cadence at Gateway is officially opening its doors through a public grand opening event Saturday, October 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. David Weekly Homes, Gehan Homes, Lennar and Pulte Homes will be ready to host tours to those interested in selecting from dozens of different floorplans in eight neighborhoods. Realtors and interested buyers should register for the event at cadenceaz.com/socialmedia to take advantage of the best selections at the Grand Opening. (Realtors may arrive 30 minutes early with clients when they register at the above address.)

“We have worked in tandem with Harvard Investments and have watched the Cadence at Gateway community embrace our vision, becoming a welcome addition to our growing Gateway Corridor,” said Giles. “I believe Cadence is a community that will become a beacon for Mesa, a community that will last generations, and draw in those who seek more out of life, together making Mesa even brighter.”

Homes at Cadence at Gateway are available from the high $200s, appealing to individuals, families and multigenerational families. Homes are one- and two-story with a range of options including welcoming front porches, open floor plans and energy saving features.

The demand to secure a home in the intimate Cadence at Gateway community has been growing with Gehan, Lennar and Pulte preselling more than 10 percent of the homes, so the public grand opening event will be essential for those looking to select a home within their favorite neighborhoods.

“We’ve had tremendous interest in Cadence and are pleased to welcome those ready to see first-hand this wide variety of beautiful homes and our private, resort-style amenities,” said Krumwiede. “The Square is not like anything you’ve ever seen and includes a fitness center, resort-style pools and water slides, a wonderful park, and a community center – all for an HOA assessment of $125 per month.”

Each Cadence home is within 300 feet of a park, trail or The Square, the central gathering place. Additionally, the community’s elementary school, part of the award-winning Queen Creek Public School District, will be open for the Fall 2019 school year.

Phase One will include: three neighborhood parks including bocce ball, volleyball, shaded play areas, ramadas and more. Additional shaded play areas surround The Square as well as a dog park, sports field, tennis court, bocce, basketball court, resort-style pool with two large “twisty” slides, lap pool, spa pool, outdoor eating areas, BBQ, and fire pit.

Inside the Square are spaces for community members to celebrate, work, relax and work out including: Flourish, a community center; Stir, a café-style hangout; Moto, a fitness center with fitness equipment, weight and cardio room, yoga studio and spin studio; Mix, a large indoor/outdoor center for events such as weddings, anniversaries and graduations; and finally, Botanica—a pavilion-style garden area.
