Here are some of the best places to go to have a burrito this coming National Burrito Day — April 7 — or, really any day!

Carolina’s Mexican Food

While most Mexican food places have a few burrito options, Carolina’s has an incredible (and delicious) variety of combinations from which to choose. This includes options like the Burro Machaca, Burro Carne Asada and the Three Way Red Chile, Green Chile & Beans Burro. Not only that, but the prices are equally apetizing, ranging from $4.95 to $8.65 (depending on the burrito).

Taco Boys

Here, the burrito is cooked over an open mesquite wood fire. You can add special toppings at their scrumptious toppings and salsa bar. This local restaurant recently grew so popular that it expanded and now has a location in Phoenix and Tempe. 

Rito’s Mexican Food

Rito’s has been serving amazing Mexican food in Arizona for 45 years. So, if you haven’t stopped by yet, you might want to check it out. They serve a variety of delicious burritos that come in four different types: burrito, enchilada style, chimichanga and chimichanga enchilada style. If you want to make your own burrito at home, they sell hand-stretched tortillas.

Rolando’s Mexican Food

Located on North 35th Avenue, you’ll find a burrito haven, open every day at 5 a.m.! Start your morning with a delectable burrito filled with potatoes, eggs and cheese. Then, come back for lunch to indulge in their carne asada burrito served with beans and rice. 

Scramble

Scramble isn’t a Mexican food restaurant, but that doesn’t mean you should pass on their burritos. Aside from omelets and breakfast pizzas, Scramble serves four different types of breakfast burritos. From a simple burrito with eggs, bacon and cheese to a wackier burrito that includes cheddar, avocado and jalepeño cream cheese, there are all sorts of burritos to satisfy your breakfast cravings.

Margaritas, tacos and, of course, burritos —Taquitos has it all. Pick from eight different burrito options including leguina, bean and carnita burritos.. They also have breakfast burritos if you’re wanting something earlier in the day.

La Santisima Gourmet Taco Shop 

Santisima has an incredible amount of burrito options to choose from, and even more tacos. The shop also has vegan and vegetarian options for those with dietary restrictions. Don’t miss out on their delicious horchata too!

The Original Burrito Company

It’s in the name; this Phoenix-based restaurant serves tasty burritos, and a lot of them. If you’re looking for something that’s just about burritos (and sometimes tacos, quesadillas and plates) this is the place to go. If you love the food, you can also purchase beans, tortillas and guacamole to take home.

El Norteño Mexican Food

This local restaurant has been serving excellent food for over thirty years in Phoenix. It has a great variety of delicious burrito options and also sells burritos by the dozen if you’d like to have a burrito party. It sells an Arizona Burrito that contains carne asada, rice, beans, potato, sour cream and guacamole. If you plan to go, bring cash because the restaurant doesn’t take credit or debit cards.

Los Favoritos Taco Shop

Why not stop by one of the 12 locations around the Valley and have some burritos? The prices are affordable and the food is outstanding. If you’re not looking for a burrito, they also have plenty of other items on their menu — including nachos! It might just become your favorite place. Whatever you decide, it’s a good way to spend your Burrito Day.

Salt & Lime

For the first thirsty Thursday in April, Salt and Lime Modern Mexican Grill in Scottsdale will be offering half off any beer with a burrito purchase! Salt & Lime burrito favorites include their carnitas (marinated pork) camarón (blackened shrimp) and the vegetariano, a meatless option with zucchini, squash, portobello mushrooms, red bell peppers and onions.

Diego Pops

The modern Mexican spot in Old Town Scottsdale is upgrading your lunch with their Adult Lunch Box that will have you covered for both burrito and beer day! The takeout special includes chips and salsa, guest’s choice of one burrito or three tacos (no mix and match) and a canned beer for $18. Canned beer options include Tecate, Modelo or Victoria and popular burrito varieties include bean and cheese, the house made with braised green chili chicken and the California with charred skirt steak.
