Ah, finally – the first inklings of Fall in Arizona! While the weather is finally beginning to become more accommodating to outdoor play, and the festive spirit of upcoming Fall and winter holidays are around the corner, there’s no better time to start considering gifts for kids of all ages. Take a look at a few unique products to inspire and satisfy a range of interests.

Poketti Parting is such sweet sorrow as many parents discovered this year when school started. If you still have a little one experiencing separation anxiety, you both need a Poketti. These pocket-sized plushies come in bunny, penguin, pig, unicorn and more – all equipped with a tiny-snap pocket to slip notes of encouragement and positivity. Poketti was designed by two teens seeking to inspire children of all ages (each pocket pal has a particular professional goal).  Pokettis are also perfect to store baby teeth for the tooth fairy. For a mere $12 why wouldn’t you want to pop a couple these pocket collectibles in your cart?

Circuit Breaker Labs I’m going to give it to you straight – you may want this more than your child … and that’s perfectly okay (I may or may not be speaking from experience). What began as a Kickstarter project featuring wearable circuit breakers, has turned into an entire jewelry and accessory line of beautifully, trendy-nerd wearables and trinkets including a circuit-board necklace (that I may or may not own); circuit board state-pride ornaments, circuit board rainbow link bracelets and much more. Young coders, gamers and Con crashers are sure to love the wide array of options.

SmartGurlz At long last! A smart product for smart girls: thank you, Sharmi for creating a SmartGurlz STEM-inspired children’s product. Having a young 10-year-old coder, I’m appreciative of an invention that inherently caters to females, while also appealing to tech prowess. By utilizing the SmartGurlz app, children can navigate a modern (and relevantly dressed) self-balancing doll on her motorized Segway/Scooter.

Stomp Rocket Any product that encourages outdoor play is a winner for most parents (especially those who reside in Arizona). Therefore, let us celebrate Stomp Rocket – the no batteries needed, exercise promoting, outdoor-play toy! There are several variations of the stomp rocket: The original set; Jr. Glow-in-the-Dark 4-Rockets pack; Ultra 4-Rockets; Ultra LED 4-Rockets and more! Having two 8-year-and a 10-year-old test a couple types of stomp rockets, I can attest to their user-friendliness and fun!

HaitiProjects What gift is better, than one that originates from both the heart and hands? The inspiration of retired nurse Sarah Hackett, Haiti Projects is a 501(C)(3) corporation created to supply women in rural Haiti not only with employment but on a larger scale to provide them with the necessary tools to thrive in a sustainable community. By gifting your child with a handmade and beautifully embroidered item from the online store, you are also gifting the talented women of Haiti. My 10-year-old loves the JouJou doll.
