Yelpers are always hungry for the next best meal and for those looking for the next hidden gem, Yelp has unveiled its 11th annual Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024. And Arizona is well-represented with eight restaurants on the list, including the No. 1 spot.

Every year, Yelp analyzes millions of reviews and suggestions from its community of users to name the best local eateries for its Top 100 Places to Eat list — from hidden gems in strip malls to upscale dining establishments and everything in between. One this year’s 11th anniversary of the Top 100 Places to Eat, Arizona was home to eight restaurants on the list between Tucson and Phoenix.

Tumerico, Tucson, AZ – #1: Tumerico’s inventive, vegetarian Mexican food offers a “mouthwatering” taste of home from chef and owner Wendy Garcia, a James Beard Award semi-finalist. The chalkboard menu changes daily based on what’s seasonal, such as salsa made from Tucson-grown chiltepin chiles and pitaya (Mexican dragon fruit) or nopalitos (made from prickly pear cactus, available May to September).
