Arizona Center, a shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the heart of downtown Phoenix, prepares to welcome the new AC Hotel Phoenix Downtown, opening Feb. 18, 2021.

The new AC Hotel Phoenix Downtown located off of 5th Street next to the APS building is the perfect blend of European style and Southwest charm. The purposeful design focuses on creating synergy with Arizona Center’s Live Work Play mantra with the unique indoor-outdoor lobby lounge and bar that overlooks the heart of Arizona Center. The art, carefully curated by local designer and curator, Jude Smith, is the focal point and the perfect complement to the artistic vibe and vision of the center. Each piece weaves in thematic elements through shape, form and color and the presence of copper references the state nickname “The Copper State” and our rich copper mining history.

“The opening of this new modern upscale hotel is just the first of many exciting things coming to Arizona Center,” said Matt Root, managing partner for Parallel Capital Partners, owner and manager of Arizona Center. “We are really focused on growth in 2021 and the new AC Hotel Phoenix Downtown is the perfect complement to our plans for both the center and Downtown Phoenix.”

The 13-story AC Hotel Phoenix Downtown located at Arizona Center will offer 199 rooms, 5,000 sq. ft of meeting space, two media salons and a board room with indoor and outdoor accommodations. The lounge and lobby bar, AC Lounge, will feature signature craft cocktails by expert Mixologist, Nomas Amaya; tapas, an outdoor patio with distinctive water feature and cozy fireplaces. The urban inspired boutique hotel boasts a 24-hour fitness center with panoramic views, library, business center, hydration stations and AC Store offering various sundries and items travelers may need.

The AC Hotel Phoenix Downtown experience has been designed to give guests the essentials of an experience unlike any other. Modern guest rooms include upscale and plush beds, complimentary high-speed WiFi, smart TVs and premium toiletries including lavender satchels in each room. Open only in the morning, the AC Kitchen will offer European-inspired continental breakfast which includes imported meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurt parfaits and more.

“This AC Hotel is the first in downtown Phoenix, and we are thrilled to be involved in this project,” said Brian Robinson, general manager of AC Hotel Phoenix Downtown. “We have a beautifully appointed hotel, brought on the best talent to be a part of our team and are excited to bring a touch of European style to the Southwest with this property.”

In 2019 Arizona Center underwent a $25 million renovation which included opening up the property to surrounding streets creating a more integrated downtown experience. Additional upgrades included modern colors, new outdoor furnishings and lounge areas, modern shade structures, upgraded landscape and water features, additional lighting and a 60 ft. LED jumbotron. Valet parking, bike racks and a stage for entertainment were also added.
