With more people working and learning from home than ever, Amara Resort and Spa  in Sedona is taking workcations to the next level by adding an adaptable office space to its amenity offering equipped with an executive assistant, essential supplies and a dedicated concierge to coordinate off-site wellness experiences so travelers and families can explore the beauty of red rock country without skipping a beat.

Launching this week, the “Work From Here, Learn From Here” program at Amara Resort and Spa is included within the resort fee and provides guests with everything they need to have a seamless experience while staying connected to their virtual obligations. The 750 square-foot-space is setup like a private classroom or office and is complete with classroom-style seating, whiteboards, a speakerphone, a printing station, shelves stocked with school supplies and a screen or projector is available upon request. Guests also have access to an on-call executive assistant or teacher’s aide who can assist with day-to-day tasks like sending faxes, shipping assignments and setting up audio and video connections while on-site tutors or nannies can be reserved two weeks in advance for $50 per hour.

“Things are so hectic right now for families and employees who are navigating the new normal of virtual work and school. So we really wanted to create an experience that allows for these guests to have a much-needed change of scenery while still being able to indulge in the many wellness-focused activities Sedona has to offer,” said Nick Solomon, general manager at Amara. “With complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the property, guests can really strike a balance between work and leisure whether it’s checking emails from a private poolside cabana, taking conference calls from the new office space, setting up the little ones with an on-site tutor so parents can get a break from the madness, or embarking on a memorable family adventure through our new experience partner. Whatever it may be, we could all use a mental vacation right about now.”

In addition, Amara has also tapped locally-owned concierge service RemoteWell, to curate on and off-site, Sedona-centric experiences for guests. Marci Taylor, RemoteWell founder, and her team help guests to prioritize their health and wellness while working remotely and further explore the metaphysical energy and fabled vortexes for which the small Northern Arizona town is famous. From taking a bike ride or hike through one of the hundreds of surrounding trails to relaxing the mind, body and spirit through guided meditation and yoga practices, guests interested in curating a customized itinerary in-between breaks can book with RemoteWell through Amara’s website or reach out directly to Taylor at hello@remotewell.co or call 928.487.1075. Prices will vary based on the experience and arrangements must be made at least two weeks in advance of the stay.

“It’s so important for those spending substantially more time in their homes to get outdoors and stay active. With all that there is to do and see in Sedona, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better place for people to escape to when they need a break from their quarantine routines,” said Taylor. “Our partnership with Amara offers visitors the best of both worlds as the resort provides a relaxing respite they so desperately need while off-site adventures fill the travel void and self-care they’ve been craving. There’s really no limit on what we’re able to do.”

With rates starting from $188, Amara sets the stage for the perfect fall getaway as average temperatures peak at 80 degrees while brilliantly colored trees with newly changed red, burgundy and gold leaves mark the start of leaf-peeping season around Sedona. During their stay, guests can enjoy the cool mountain air while gazing out past the resort’s heated infinity-edge pool or by grabbing dinner on the expansive patio of the resort’s signature restaurant, SaltRock Southwest Kitchen, offering familiar, yet refined favorites that share the spotlight with the picturesque views and a thriving cocktail program. For those needing some well-deserved rest and relaxation, the award-winning Amara Spa offers massages, facials and more.

The resort fee is $33 plus tax and also includes valet parking Wi-Fi and unlimited local and toll-free calls. For the littlest of guests, rollaway beds, cribs and connected rooms can be accommodated upon request.
