Arizona benefits from some incredible heat throughout the year, meaning its catalog of fantastic festivals is spread well across each month. If you’re a festival enthusiast looking for an event to remember in Arizona, your search ends with the list below.

M3F

Kick your festival season off in style with M3F (McDowell Mountain Music Festival), which is a non-profit event taking place every March in Phoenix. At the heart of M3F is community, culture, and charity, which has seen it raise over $2 million for charities since 2004. Sprawling over three stages, this volunteer-run event has seen the likes of Kid Cudi, Empire of the Sun, Odesza, and Lukas Nelson.

Given this festival takes place over three days, you may want to stay in a nearby hotel to help you unwind after a long day. For example, the Westin Hotel Downtown Phoenix has a rooftop pool that’s open 365 days a year, so make sure you pack your designer swim trunks and kick back in style.

Pickin’ In The Pines

If you’re a fan of all things acoustic and bluegrass, you have to add Pickin’ In The Pines Music Festival to your itinerary. Held in Flagstaff from the 15th-17th of September, the lineup so far includes Sam Bush, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, and East Nash Grass.

The beauty of this festival is the true community spirit, which comes together annually to celebrate their love for bluegrass. To fully immerse yourself at Pickin’ In The Pines, you’ll be ditching the hotel comforts and pitching your tent.

Goldrush Festival

If you’re still living off the 90s nostalgia of notorious DJs like Tiësto, then don’t miss out on your opportunity to dance the night away to the man himself. Goldrush Festival, which is held every October in Phoenix, caters to all you drum and bass fans out there. Currently, the headliners include Tiësto, Zeds Dead, and ZHU.

Luna Del Lago Festival

For those of you looking for a brand new experience, secure your tickets to Luna Del Lago Festival, which will take place at Lake Pleasant in November. Unlike other festivals on the list, this event will feature a diverse lineup, which currently includes the likes of Monophonics, Spafford, Arise Roots, and Wyves.

Given its location next to Lake Pleasant, there are plenty of accommodation options including classic camping, RV pitching, and car camping.

Gem & Jam

Get yourself to Tucson in February 2024 for the Gem & Jam festival, which promises a psychedelic experience full of funky tunes, bright lights, and a dance experience bought to you by incredible acts. There’s no lineup information for the 2024 event right now, but 2023 included artists like The Floozies, The String Cheese Incident, and LSDREAM.

There are plenty of options for fans staying multiple days, with plenty of hotels nearby and a car park well-suited for car camping.

If you’re a festival enthusiast in Arizona, you’re lucky because events are happening throughout the entire year. Whether you’re in search of an EDM aesthetic, country blues, or anything in between, you’ll find your vibe at one of Arizona’s annual festivals.
