Lyft is celebrating Phoenix Pride weekend with special offers for Phoenix riders. You can catch a Lyft to and from the Pride festival and to LQBTQ+ venues across the Valley. This is part of Lyft’s ongoing effort to support LGBTQ+ equality in cities across the nation.

“One of Lyft’s core values is to ‘Be Yourself.” We promote and advocate equality for the LGBTQ+ community,” said Drena Kusari, general manager for Lyft’s Southwest region. “We’re excited to support Pride in Phoenix and take part in our local celebration.”

Existing users can enter PHXPRIDE19 for 10 percent off two rides to and from the Phoenix Pride Festival April 6-7 at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. New Lyft riders can use the code PHXPRIDE for $5 off their first four rides.

Lyft also is partnering with LQBTQ+ businesses across greater Phoenix to offer discounted rides to locations including:

• BLISSPHX19: 10 percent off two rides to and from Bliss ReBAR, 901 N. 4th St. in Phoenix.

• CHARLIES19: 10 percent off two rides to and from Charlie’s Phoenix, a Lyftie Award winner as a Top Destination in Phoenix, located at 727 W. Camelback Road in Phoenix

• FEXPXH19: 10 percent off two rides to and from FEZ, 105 W. Portland St. in Phoenix.

Lyft’s efforts in the Valley reflect the company’s larger mission to support equality. For nearly two years, Lyft has partnered with the Human Rights Campaign to support HRC’s efforts to build welcoming schools for LGBTQ students, train the next generation of activists working to end the HIV and AIDS epidemic, and pass pro-equality legislation at the local, state, and federal level.

As of June 2018, riders have donated more than $1.4 million to the HRC through Lyft’s Round Up & Donate feature. Round Up & Donate allows riders to automatically round up their fares to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to HRC and a host of other nonprofit organizations.

Riders in Arizona can extend their support of LGBTQ+ equality by opting in to Round Up & Donate by opening the Settings page in the Lyft app, tapping Round Up & Donate, and selecting the Human Rights Campaign.
