Crust Concepts, the family-owned hospitality group behind Crust Simply Italian, speakeasies and The Aviary catering venue, has opened its newest culinary hub in Downtown Mesa.
Crust Simply Italian, Bombolino and The Nightingale have moved into The 233 building at 233 E. Main St. The grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting are Thursday, Aug. 6.
At the center of the development is the 7,300-square-foot Crust Simply Italian, offering guests an authentic East Coast Italian menu centered on family recipes, including New York and personal Rustica pizzas, handcrafted pasta, and classic Italian cuisine.
The restaurant features two outdoor patios that seat 90 guests and a private dining room that accommodates up to 60. Connected to the restaurant is the approximately 650-square-foot Bombolino, an Italian-inspired coffee, donut and gelato shop where guests can purchase breakfast items until 11 a.m., and affogatos and authentic Italian doughnuts throughout the day.
Hidden within the building is The Nightingale, an intimate speakeasy-inspired cocktail lounge featuring handcrafted cocktails and small bites.
“We’ve dreamed about creating a place where guests can experience different sides of Italian hospitality all in one place,” said Michael Merendino, owner of Crust Concepts.
“Whether you’re joining us for dinner with family, grabbing an espresso and pastry, celebrating a special occasion, or ending the evening with craft cocktails, we wanted every space to feel welcoming while offering its own unique setting. We can’t wait to become part of the Downtown Mesa community.”
