Vestar announced that Flower Child will open its newest location in Desert Ridge Marketplace in spring 2018. The addition of Flower Child further reinforces Vestar’s commitment to bring the best in shopping and dining to the North Phoenix area.
“We are excited to welcome Flower Child to Desert Ridge Marketplace,” said Jenny Cushing, Vice President of Leasing at Vestar. “Flower Child’s commitment to innovation mirrors the evolution of Desert Ridge Marketplace and perfectly complements our already amazing line-up of unique, chef-driven restaurants.”
Flower Child, a Fox Restaurant Concept, uses healthy and wholesome ingredients and its entire menu is devoted to veggies, grains, fruits and healthy proteins. Flower Child’s bowls, wraps, grains and greens are all made from scratch every day. The Desert Ridge Marketplace location will be the 11th for the concept.
“Our purpose at Flower Child is to provide the best food made from the purest ingredients with an experience that leaves you happy,” said Sam Fox, Founder of Fox Restaurant Concepts. “The North Phoenix community and Desert Ridge is a perfect fit for Flower Child and we are thrilled to bring a new dining option to the area.”
Flower Child at Desert Ridge Marketplace will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, and will be located in the southwest corner of the shopping center near Target. The restaurant joins three culinary favorites that have been added to Desert Ridge Marketplace in the last year, MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company, Barrio Queen and Sizzle Korean BBQ.
The 16-year-old Desert Ridge Marketplace completed a $15 million renovation in August. Recent updates added since February include more than 57,000 square feet of eco-friendly turf, 75,000 square feet of luxurious dark wood paneling, a sophisticated update to The District Stage, a bocce ball court, a new children’s play area, revamped fountains and entrances, earth-conscious electric vehicle charging stations, free Wi-Fi available throughout The District, a new color palette throughout the center and two massive LED screens.
