Dirtbag’s Phoenix just made its first impression a whole lot louder. After its first year in the Valley, the Tucson-born bar has unveiled a customer-inspired remodel built to bring guests closer to the action from the second they walk through the door. The updates sharpen the space for game days, group hangs, private parties, and late nights, all while keeping the Dirtbag’s spirit firmly intact.

The biggest change starts at the entrance. Guests no longer walk into a separate lobby. Instead, the front door now opens directly into the bar, dropping them straight into the sound, screens, crowd energy, and unmistakable Dirtbag’s vibe.
“We listened to our customers after our first year open, and these changes are really about enhancing their experience,” says Scott Hibler, owner of Dirtbag’s Phoenix. “We are not changing the core of Dirtbag’s. We are making the room work better for the way people actually use it.”

Inside the main bar, the remodel brings game-day viewing front and center. Dirtbag’s has added a new indoor Jumbotron that mirrors the outdoor Jumbotron, giving fans a bigger view of the action from inside or outside. The team also removed the former four-TV wall and added six new TVs, creating cleaner sightlines and a stronger view from nearly every seat.
The bar layout has been balanced, too, with the east side now mirroring the west side for a more consistent feel across the room. The result is simple: more screens, better views, and fewer battles over the “good” seat.
The private room has also been opened up with couches, games, and a more relaxed lounge-style layout, giving guests a fresh spot for private parties, group hangs, and nights when they want a little room to spread out without losing the Dirtbag’s energy.
The summer menu keeps the focus simple: classic bar food built for games, groups, and late nights. Guests can choose from shareable favorites like wings, chicken nachos, fried zucchini, jalapeño poppers, and 12-inch pizzas, along with the Famous Dirtburger, Big Tex Burger, English Burger, grilled chicken sandwich, Caesar salad, fries, tots, and onion rings.
Standout updates at Dirtbag’s Phoenix include:
- A New Entrance: Guests now walk directly into the bar instead of entering through the lobby, creating an immediate sense of energy and arrival.
- Indoor Jumbotron Experience: A new Jumbotron TV inside the main bar mirrors the outdoor Jumbotron, giving guests a bigger, better viewing experience across the space.
- More TVs, Better Sightlines: Dirtbag’s removed its four-TV wall and added six new TVs so every seat in the house has a strong view of the action.
- Private Room Lounge Vibe: The private room has been opened up with couches, games, and a more social layout for parties, events, and group gatherings.
- Summer Menu Favorites: From the Famous Dirtburger and wings to pizza, chicken nachos, fried zucchini, and tots, the menu keeps the focus on easy, shareable, game-day-ready food.
- Same Dirtbag’s Core: The remodel keeps the bar’s Tucson-born personality intact while improving the atmosphere, flow, and guest experience at the Phoenix location.
For Hibler, the remodel is about giving the Phoenix location the kind of energy Dirtbag’s regulars expect the moment they walk in. The Phoenix location was always meant to bring the spirit of the original Tucson bar into a new market. Now, after a year of watching how guests move through the space, gather for games, celebrate with friends, and settle in for late nights, the team has made the room meet the moment.
“People are going to notice the difference right away,” Hibler says. “Before, you walked into a lobby. Now, you walk straight into the bar and feel the energy immediately. That’s what Dirtbag’s is supposed to feel like. With the new Jumbotron, more TVs, and a better layout, there really isn’t a bad seat in the house.”
The remodel gives Dirtbag’s Phoenix a stronger sense of arrival while keeping the experience familiar: burgers, buckets, big games, private events, and nights that do not need much of a plan. It is still Dirtbag’s, just with a better view, a better flow, and a faster path to the fun.
