Casa Lucero, the interactive welcome center in Estrella’s new village, Lucero, is now open. Featuring a café, bike shop, event lawn, plenty of outdoor spaces, and a cozy living room, it is quickly becoming the center of community activity for both current and potential residents.

Newland is known for an innovative approach to welcome centers and Casa Lucero is no different. The design offers potential residents a unique way of learning about everything Estrella has to offer, from multiple touch screen displays and social media screens to a topographical table that depicts all the villages and available amenities. Staffed with a team versed in everything Estrella, along with a café and bike shop, potential residents will discover a welcoming and warm environment they will want to return to over and over again.

Locally operated by Estrella resident, Deborah Huyer, Café Bebida’s baristas serve up creative juice and coffee drinks and a variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack options. Huyer is an experienced restauranteur and currently runs Lakeside Grill and Splash Café in Estrella’s Starpointe Residents Club.

Conveniently located near the entrance to Estrella’s expansive trail system, Copper State Bike and Hike is the perfect new amenity to complement the community’s active, outdoor lifestyle. Operated by Trek Bicycle Store West Phoenix, the shop sells and rents various styles of bicycles and equipment and provides expert fitting and repair services. Lucero alone will offer 10+ miles of trails, bringing Estrella’s total to more than 50 miles of paths and trails throughout the community.

In addition to the new amenities, Lucero features intimate neighborhoods thoughtfully designed to embody modern, hillside living with panoramic views of the surrounding Sierra Estrella Mountains. Beazer Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, and Taylor Morrison are currently open in Lucero’s model villages with D.R. Horton and Gehan Homes coming soon.

Development on the new village is still in its early stages and Newland expects to add additional homebuilders and amenities to the 617-acre site in the coming years. Already in the works is Lucero’s Ladera Park, which will feature a splash pad, children’s play equipment, and fun outdoor spaces, and will add to the community’s more than 500 acres of family-friendly parks and open space.

“We are thrilled with the expansion of our community with the addition of Lucero and Casa Lucero,” said William Olson, Senior Vice President and Division Manager for Newland. “With modern homes, fresh amenities and incredible mountain views, Lucero truly embodies the spirit of the community and showcases why so many people choose to call Estrella home.”

Throughout Estrella, more than a dozen homebuilders offer distinctive floor plans at varying price points that will suit any lifestyle. To learn more, call the New Home Information Center at 623-386-1000 or visit Estrella.com.
