A “FIN-tastic” holiday season at OdySea Aquarium begins Thanksgiving Day with an exclusive appearance by gorgeous swimming mermaids as part of the popular Mermaid Magic experience and the Aquarium’s Winter Waterland. Don’t miss these limited-time Mermaid appearances taking place throughout the Aquarium featuring special opportunities to meet and interact with these sea-dwelling beauties November 28—December 1. To add to the festive fun, the Mermaids will be joined underwater by swimming SeaTREK Santa starting on Black Friday, November 29!
“Odysea Aquarium’s mermaids are not only a tradition so many families look forward to every year, they are ocean advocates,” said Greg Charbeneau, General Manager at OdySea Aquarium. “Mermaids share their magical underwater world with sea creatures that are so beloved to OdySea, we are happy to partner together to share important conservation messages with our guests.”
Over the long Thanksgiving weekend, Mermaid Magic themed activities will include:
• SeaTREK’s Stingray Bay Mermaids will be speaking and interacting with guests while in the water or while perched on the ledge. Photo opportunities will be available.
• Mermaids swimming in the water with the sharks, rays and more, showing off their tails, blowing kisses, and performing.
• Transformation of the Deep Ocean Theater to Mermaid Magic Cove where mermaid dreams can come true with special activities presented by TONI & GUY Salons & Academy, featuring FREE Mermaid hair with washable hair colors, styling with real braiding and Mermaid face painting designs!
• Parents will enjoy taking whimsical photos of their children as they transform into Mermaids & Mermen at the “mermaid tail” photo station. Parents can also opt to purchase professional photos during personal “meet & greet” opportunities with a “dry-side” Mermaid seated at her throne at Mermaid Magic Cove.
