Phoenix Fashion Week, the Valley’s leading authority on fashion, will host its annual series of runway shows, October 13th – 15th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Talking Stick Resort, located at 9800 Talking Stick Way in Scottsdale. The three-day event celebrates the conclusion of a four-month emerging designer boot camp, led by mentor and True Religion Jeans Co-founder Kym Gold, in which the 14 hand-selected designers have been preparing to launch their collections for Phoenix Fashion Week.
Those designers will debut their highly-anticipated looks to more than 6,000 of the Valley’s most fashionable men and women, influencers, celebrities and more. This year’s schedule builds on the success of last year, with many former Phoenix Fashion Week participants returning as established or couture designers, including State Forty Eight and Charmosa.
“Phoenix Fashion Week continues to innovate, creating new experiences for guests. This year, we will host our 2nd Annual ‘Community Night,’ featuring 12 local designers and their best two looks,” said Brian Hill, executive director of Phoenix Fashion Week. ” Also, this year guests will get to purchase curated items direct from our runways through the Phoenix Fashion Week mobile app, satisfying, our mission to “Bridge Designers and Buyers.”
According to Hill, the three-day event will include a variety of fashion-focused seminars taught by industry experts during the day and a total of 24 high-energy evening runway shows, offering insight on how not only to wear fashion’s hottest trends but also how to successfully run an emerging brand. Each night Hill and the Phoenix Fashion Week team will announce Lifestyle, Contemporary and Couture “Designer of the Year.” These winners will get to market their collections on home shopping TV network EVINE in the Spring of 2017.
“Every year, Phoenix Fashion Week continues to grow our brand reach, this year we have global brands from Cayman Islands, Botswana, Cape Town South Africa, Philippines, Kuwait, Lebanon, and the United States. This kind of reach proves that Phoenix Fashion Week is the launch pad for brands looking to succeed in the fashion industry,” said Hill.
In addition to the scheduled runway shows, guests will receive exclusive access to designer shopping in the Style Villa Marketplace, designer meet and greets, enjoy live music from “DJ Q,” free polish changes from CND® VINYLUX pop-up nail studio, and a chance to win a trip for two to New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017, courtesy of CND® VINYLUX®. Making special appearances are the Valley’s top fashion insiders, local on-air celebrities and our sports community including: Elevee Lifestyle’s, Percy Knox, Co-founder of True Religion Jeans, Kym Gold, iHeart Radio’s JohnJay & Rich, and stars from the Phoenix Suns.
