The Town of Gilbert announced that it is taking responsibility to prioritize the health of Gilbert’s residents and employees to help flatten the curve and contain the spread of COVID-19, also known as coronavirus.

In an effort to help limit opportunities to gather, Gilbert will be closing the following amenities at all public parks beginning at 8 AM this Saturday, March 28th:

• Playgrounds

• Freestone Skate Park

• Fenced dog areas at Crossroads and Cosmo Parks

• Splash pads

• Basketball courts

• Volleyball courts

• All of Gilbert Regional Park

• Drinking fountains

All open spaces, trails, walking paths and restrooms will remain open for public use from 5:30 AM to 10 PM. Social and physical distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC still apply in these areas.
