Cactus League Hall of Fame Trustees, made up of Cactus League board members and community leaders, selected the 2024 class:

  • Bochy managed three Cactus League teams – San Diego Padres (1995-2006), San Francisco Giants (2007-2019) and Texas Rangers (2023-present). He led the Giants to three World Series titles, including their first in San Francisco in 2010, and then led the Rangers to their first championship in 2023.
  • Santo was a fixture in the Cactus League for decades. He played for the Chicago Cubs from 1960-1973, winning five Gold Gloves at third base and making nine National League All-Star teams. Santo returned to the Cactus League in 1990 when he began a long career as a Cubs broadcaster.
  • Monday was a center fielder for two Cactus League clubs – Oakland Athletics (1968-1971 and Chicago Cubs (1972-1976). He finished his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers (1977-1984) before the team moved its spring training operation to Arizona. Monday, an Arizona State University product who was the first player selected in the inaugural Major League Baseball draft, has served as a Dodgers broadcaster since 1993.
  • Carson, a native of Chicago, opened Don & Charlie’s Restaurant in Scottsdale in 1981. The establishment soon became a popular gathering place for visiting MLB executives, managers, players, media and fans during spring training, with the walls decorated by priceless baseball memorabilia. Carson operated the eatery for 38 years until closing it in April 2019.
  • Vucinich, a native of Alameda, Calif., worked as a ballboy and in the clubhouse for the Athletics when they arrived in Oakland from Kansas City in 1968. He became equipment and clubhouse manager beginning in 1994. By the time he retired after the 2021 season, Vucinich had spent 54 years with the A’s, eclipsing the legendary Connie Mack in years of service in franchise history.

Inductees will be honored in pregame ceremonies during the 2024 spring training season. Here is the schedule:
