“Experiencing the loss of someone we love can be indescribable. Keeping that love alive gives us hope, peace, and light. It is Mountain View’s hope to give families the opportunity to remember those they have lost and know that their love is still present,” said Elisa Krcilek, Vice President of Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery.

At Lights of Love, hundreds of attendees will embark on a drive-thru wonderland where they can enjoy the beauty of holiday lights, festive decorations, music, and treats. At the end of their journey, participants will have the chance to honor their loved ones by lighting a candle in their memory. As a token of remembrance, every family will receive a keepsake ornament.

The event, now in its fourth year, has become a cherished tradition for the community. Hundreds of cars are expected to join the drive-thru experience, featuring thousands of lights, a live nativity scene with a camel and sheep, and a delightful hot chocolate truck. Attendees can also participate in the meaningful act of placing their loved one’s name on a heart and adding it to the commemorative shadow box. Additionally, the option to light a candle that will remain lit throughout the night in honor of a loved one is available.

“Lights of Love started during COVID, and this marks the fourth consecutive year it’s happening because it has become so popular. We are truly touched by the community’s embrace of this event, and we look forward to providing a source of solace and joy during the holiday season,” said Krcilek.

“Lights of Love” takes place on Friday, December 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, 85207. For any inquiries about the Lights of Love event, please call 480-832-2850.
