Nestled just off the waterfront in Scottsdale, STK Steakhouse naturally attracts anyone looking for a relaxed, outdoor dining experience with a view. But, the inviting atmosphere and laid-back ambiance of STK isn’t the only thing to draw visitors from all over the Valley. Beginning with a signature sourdough bread topped with an unimposing and delicious blue-cheese glaze, to the unbelievably fresh oysters on the half shell (which we’ll explore in further detail momentarily), STK has morsels and main dishes to satisfy sophisticated pallets, as well as anyone ready for an enjoyable meal.

While the “Steakhouse” attached to STK likely has you thinking about New York strip, filet, porterhouse, and other notable cuts (not to mention STK’s dry-aged Delmonico and dry-aged bone-in strip), there is much more from which to choose. In addition to juicy, flavorful order-as-you-like steak, STK offers Maple Rubbed Salmon, Braised Beef Short Rib, Maine Lobster Linguini, and Roasted Lamb Rack as other must-try main menu options.
For as delectable as the main dishes are at STK, you must — if you enjoy fresh seafood — order from the Raw Bar. And here, is where we revisit the oysters on the half shell. Add a bit of horseradish, cocktail sauce, and/or a slight squeeze of lemon to accentuate these, or simply enjoy them plain (and you WILL enjoy them). Also available as part of the Raw Bar: Jalapeno Pickled Shrimp Cocktail, Alaskan Red King Crab, and Ceviche.
In addition to several enticing items on the Raw Bar, you won’t be disappointed by the selection of sides to accompany your main dishes. From Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus, and Confit Mushrooms to Parmesean Truffle Fries, there’s something for everyone. But, the real star of the sides is the Tater Tots! You have to see them to believe them (hint: if they can make marshmallows supersized, why not tots).
And, again, all of this fare can be enjoyed on an expansive patio, music playing, and plenty of people watching for all. The service, you’ll be pleased to know, is timely, friendly, and your server — if STK’s exceptional service is like our’s — will be able to recommend exactly what you’re craving, as well as notable and seasonal items from the menu.
Of course, STK has extensive offerings in cocktails and wines — from the “Cucumber Stiletto” and “Rum for the Roses” to all the bubbles, whites, rosés, and reds a wine connoisseur would come to expect. So, if — in lieu of a full meal — you want to indulge in happy hour or an evening of drinks outside with friends and family, the patio at STK awaits.
And, as dinner winds down for others, they’ll want to consider ordering “The Closer” otherwise known as “Bag O’ Donuts.” This sweet treat features cinnamon sugar, dulce de leche, raspberry, and chocolate flavors all filled and fried to perfection.
