The Amazing Acro-cats Featuring Tuna and the Rock Cats made a stop in Phoenix Tuesday night, delighting the crowd at Playhouse on the Park at Central Arts Plaza.

The Amazing Acro-cats are a troupe of performing house cats.

The amazing group of performing cats all started with Chief Executive Human (CEH for short) and animal trainer Samantha Martin. She has not only rescued her own pets, but also has found happy homes for 205 homeless cats and kittens. Using the magic of clicker training (a stress-free positive reinforcement method) Samantha and the cats take their newfound amazing abilities on the road, and tour the nation’s stages in the infamous Acro-cat bus! A portion of the proceeds always benefits our mobile foster and rescue efforts.

The acro-cats perform stunts that include riding skateboards, ringing bells, walking tight ropes, pushing shopping carts and running through a cat-size agility course.

Tuna and the Rock Cats are a five-piece band made up of a guitarist, keyboardist, drummer, cow bell player and chime player, according to the Acro-Cats website. A chicken is seen in videos pecking at a tambourine.

The acro-cats and cat band have appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and on Animal Planet.
