Football fans who are in-the-know make their way to Westgate Entertainment District before every Arizona Cardinals home game for the popular Touchdown Tailgate that attracts thousands of fans looking to party and represent their allegiances before kickoff.
The free, family friendly event begins approximately three hours before kickoff and takes over WaterDance Plaza, which is just steps from the stadium entrance. Fans enjoy an open-air beer garden, music, great food and drinks, interactive games, giveaways and activities for all ages. The event has all the makings for the ultimate football-filled afternoon.
There is no need to have a ticket to the big game to join the fan camaraderie and watch, dine or drink at any one of Westgate’s more than 20 bars and restaurants. Plus, after the game, fans can avoid the post-game traffic and come back to Westgate’s array of dining and entertainment options.
Since last season, a handful of new tenants have opened within the district including Bar Louie, with an impressive indoor/outdoor wrap-around bar overlooking WaterDance Plaza; PopBar, the trendy New York gelato on a stick shop; Stir Crazy Comedy Club, the West Valley’s first comedy venue; and Tavern + Bowl, a premier bowling and entertainment venue with a scratch kitchen and microbrewery. The microbrewery just started pouring signature, brewed-on-site Good Bad Ugly beer, just in time for football fans.
A game-day experience would not be complete without the latest NFL gear and Just Sports has three convenient Westgate locations, including their largest flagship store in the country.
For the 21-and-over crowd, Bud Light is partnering with Lyft to offer patrons $5 off a regular ride using code BUDLIGHTAZ and $10 off a plus ride using code BUDLIGHTWG to or from Westgate on game days. A convenient, designated pick-up and drop-off location is located behind AMC Theatre.

Westgate Entertainment District offers easy and convenient $10 game-day parking during regular season games in the six parking lots that surround the center. Tailgating is only permitted in Westgate Lot Y, located at the southwest corner of 91st and Glendale avenues. Charcoal grilling and glass containers are not permitted.
