The Arizona Rattlers will host their second annual Holiday Drive on Saturday, December 7, at CityScape in downtown Phoenix. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will feature a toy drive benefiting the Salvation Army and an American Red Cross blood drive. The event is free and open to the public and boasts plenty of holiday fun for the whole family including various children’s activities, football toss inflatable, free pictures with Santa Claus, and CityScape Phoenix’s CitySkate ice rink.
Adding to the fun, Shmonty from 93.3 KDKB will be hosting a special live remote at the event from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and will hand out gifts to those who donate.
Fans from around the Valley will have the opportunity to spend time with members of the 2013 World Champion Arizona Rattlers arena football team, Sidewinder dancers, mascot Stryker D. Rattler and members of the Phoenix Coyotes organization and mascot Howler.
The first 100 people to donate a new and unwrapped toy will receive a special Rattlers gift bag. All toy donations will be given to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angel program to be included in 3TV AZ Family’s Big Give on December 13. In their 28th year, the Christmas Angel program takes place in 18 malls across the Valley and Northern Arizona and is hoping to help 48,000 Arizona children this holiday season as these may be the only gifts they receive.
The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and all blood donors will receive an American Red Cross recycled shopping bag and Arizona Rattlers t-shirt.
All toy and blood donors will receive $2 off their purchase at the CitySkate ice rink as well as exclusive discounts from local downtown businesses.
