The 19th edition of “Ranking Arizona®: The Best of Arizona Business” will feature a makeover of the editorial content to help readers learn more about their favorite Arizona-based businesses.
“Historically, we have published traditional profiles of each company,” said AZ Big Media Editor in Chief Michael Gossie. “This year, we are going deeper. We are going to ask companies about their strengths, the challenges they’ve overcome, what separates them from the competition, as well as those surprising facts that make these companies special.”
The goal, Gossie said, is to allow readers to get a glimpse inside the businesses they vote for in the largest business opinion poll taken in Arizona.
Some of the questions businesses will answer include:
• What strengths helped your company earn the No. 1 ranking?
• What do you do as a company to inspire employees?
• What is the biggest challenge your company faced?
• What is the most entertaining anecdote or story you tell people about your company
• What does it mean to your company to be No. 1 in Ranking Arizona?
For 18 years, Ranking Arizona® has let readers know the best Arizona companies with whom to do business, based purely on voters’ opinion. It is not based on annual revenue or the number of employees. Instead, more than 1.5 million participants vote on more than 20,000 companies to give their recommendations based on the quality of product, service and how they treat their customers and clients. The responses are assembled and ranked according to their total number of votes.
“The great thing about Ranking Arizona® is that people keep it and refer to it time and time again,” Gossie said. “We are taking this amazing reference guide and making it stronger so readers will get to know the best companies in Arizona even better.”
