Hurricane Sandy has left the east coast has left countless in need — and one local restaurant is giving back to help support those affected by the superstorm: Searsucker Scottsdale.
After celebrating its grand opening just last week, Searsucker Scottsdale is combining efforts with its parent company, Enlightened Hospitality Group, to provide aid to those in need in Rockaway, N.Y. — the hometown of Enlightened’s CEO James Brennan — and neighboring Breezy Point.
This Friday, November 2, Searsucker Scottsdale will donate 100 percent of all proceeds to the Rockaway Hurricane Relief Fund. One-hundred percent of all funds donated will go directly to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Patrons can help support the relief effort at Searsucker Scottsdale by visiting the restaurant on Friday, Nov. 2 for:
- lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
- happy hour from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.,
- or dinner from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Those who are unable to dine at Searsucker Scottsdale can donate online. Visit the Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego’s website, and enter “ROCKAWAY HURRICANE” in the section titled “In Honor Of”.
