An iconic Valley restaurant has turned to a venerable area design build contractor to complete its new ground-up restaurant project in Scottsdale.

LGE Design Build, the Valley’s premier design build contractor for the pas two decades, has been tabbed to build the new location for Lolo’s Chicken and Waffles, the soul food restaurant that has gained national acclaim as one of the top venues of its’ kind in the country.

The new location, at 3133 N. Scottsdale Rd., will replace Lolo’s existing Scottsdale location at 2765 N. Scottsdale Rd, just south of Thomas. The new location, just a quarter mile north of the old restaurant, will span 5,400 square feet and offer the classic southern and soul foods that have made Lolo’s famous.

According to David Sellers, president of LGE Design Build, this project was a labor of love for the LGE team.

“Lolo’s Chicken and Waffles has a unique style and feel to it, and we wanted to be sure that translated to the new Scottsdale location,” said Sellers.

“It’s not like other restaurants; there’s a certain vibe at Lolo’s that the customers come to expect, and our design team work extremely hard to be sure we captured that. By all indications, we have.”

LGE also built the original Lolo’s at 1220 S. Central Ave. in Phoenix in 2002. That location has been frequented and endorsed by a variety of athletes and celebrities including Charles Barkley, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and a variety of members of the Arizona Cardinals and other local professional teams.
