The clubhouses are located adjacent to the award-winning Tom Weiskopf-designed courses: The Canyon Course and the Meadow Course.

“Our members trusted us with a nearly $7 million investment in the future of our community,” says Forest Highlands General Manager, Bill Griffon.  “These renovations and the expansion of our facilities provide for Forest Highlands remaining one of the top private golf communities, not only in Arizona but in the United States.”

Designed by Scottsdale-based Swaback Partners, the renovations significantly enhanced the outdoor spaces of the clubhouses to take advantage of the dramatic views. According to John Sather, Senior Partner at Swaback Partners, “The renovation and expansion of Forest Highlands’ Clubhouses offered a great opportunity not only to update the facilities, but to continue to evolve the community’s lifestyle to be enjoyed not only for Golf, but for Life aprés Golf. The completed collection evolved the Meadow and Canyon Clubhouses into true community gathering places for every member of the Forest Highlands community.”

Swaback Partners brings years of club and recreation experience to the project. The design team focused on how to create more outdoor experiences with expanded dining and lounge locations on the wraparound decks.  The dining rooms were also enhanced and modernized with a new luxury look and feel.  A new children’s center was added to the clubhouse, and the family recreation areas were expanded with upgraded amenities added for adults and children to enjoy.

More traditional club offerings were also upgraded including new fitness equipment, massage rooms, steam rooms, exercise room, an updated locker area and a new flex space exercise room.

The members are also pleased with the renovations.  Mary Robinson, Forest Highlands member said, “We are so pleased with our latest renovations.  Our membership came together to identify what it takes to keep Forest Highlands current in appealing to golfers, non-golfers, retirees, families and kids.  This promotes a strong and balanced community interested in its quality of life and protection of property values.”

Forest Highlands Golf Club has continued to see strong sales in the community.  In fact, sales in 2016 have hit an all-time high with nearly $23 million sold as of mid-August.  “We’ve had a great 2016 thus far,” says Griffon. “Buyers come here and see how homeowners and members enjoy world-class golf, tennis, kid’s programming, pools, cycling and so much more at Forest Highlands. It’s more than just a home, it’s a way of life.”

“The location, nestled at 7,000 feet in the ponderosa pine forest of Flagstaff, offers unparalleled views and a mountain experience that’s second to none. We celebrate all four seasons from the glorious 72 degree summers to the winter wonderland when downhill skiing is 30 minutes away and cross country skiing can be found throughout the community,” said Griffon explaining the unique attraction of Forest Highlands.  For 28 years, this private club has remained one of the most popular destinations for families. Golf Digest consistently ranks the two courses in their Top 10 in Arizona.
